MT4: How to open an account with an MT4 Broker:
The things you want to look for in a broker are:
- the minimum deposit,
- available leverage,
- bid/ask spread widths,
- available trading sizes,
- if the broker has a dealing desk,
- and who they are regulated by (i.e. NFA)
For trading with our Apex One Pattern For All Markets Strategy, it is crucial to find out if your desired broker has a dealing desk. If it does, ask what is the minimum distance an order can be placed from the current market price. If it is more than 1 or 2 pips, please find a different broker. This is called a proximity location limitation and will cause issues with our Apex strategy if your broker has this limitation (i.e. has a dealing desk). It is better to find a broker that does not have a dealing desk. The best is to find an ECN forex broker. This basically means, that there is no dealing desk, your broker is not trading against you, there is no proximity location limitation for your orders, and you can participate in the best available prices in the market at any one time. Such brokers can be found by following the below link. Keep in mind that not all of these brokers are available to US citizens.
