Bonus trades

**TERMS:**
Mini magnet: A part of order prints that plots a line at the end of a wick when using a diagnostic bar.
Big Volume Cluster (cluster): A part of order prints indicator that indicates an area of large activity and orders.
Power Line (P line): The line that is printed from a P bar in the Apex pattern. Taking a long when the price is under the green power line adds a little more risk to the setup. Conversely, taking a short when the price is above the red power line also adds a little more risk to the setup.
MVP Triangles: These print as triangles on the template. When they go flat, that is a good indication of chop.
Absorption X: The x that prints at the top of the bar when this feature is turned on inside order prints.
Paw Print: A feature of order prints that prints an orange or green box on some wicks indicating a level that the market is paying attention to. A Paw Print can be substituted for a Mini Magnet in nearly all set ups.

Touchback: A sling bar that retraces to a level before it takes off and goes in the other direction.

**ENTRIES:** Unless otherwise noted, all entries are 3 ticks above the close of the setup bar on a buy/long or 3 ticks below the close of the setup bar on a sell/short. Always use caution trading into levels. Do not take trades going “into” major levels without having at least room for a 10-tick scalp between the entry and the level.

**INITIAL STOPS:** Stop initially goes 1-3 ticks behind the low of the setup bar on a buy or 1-3 ticks above the high of the setup bar on a short unless specifically noted.

**LEVELS**
Major level: Deviations, Ice levels, Settlement (the biggest of all)
Level of importance: Volume Magnets ( [Click here for how to get volume magnets](https://forum.apexinvesting.com/t/volume-webinars-lessons/901/6) ), High Of Day (HOD), Low Of Day (LOD), Current Power Lines (as printed from the Apex pattern P), Current Open.
Walls: Two mini magnets (mm) printing within a few ticks of a swing level (whether current or an older swing level level) or other level of importance including a volume magnet OR Three mini magnets printing stacked within 5 ticks and unbroken (meaning they are all showing in a stack at the same time).
Zone of Interest (ZOI): Order Prints prints the ZOIs. When a ZOI is combined with a mini magnet, swing level, or other level of importance, it adds strength to the level.
ICE volume nodes: The ICE indicator prints a histogram showing the levels that had a lot of activity on them the previous day. The longer volume nodes are levels the price will often come back to.
Swing level: Dots printed by the swing indicator.

**POWER PLAYS**
**POWER PLAY 1:** The price goes farther on less volume.
A. The price goes just a little farther than the previous double top or bottom, but the volume on the last leg is at least 20% less. If the volume is under 20% (example if the volume is 10% less) on the second leg, there must be a cluster on the reversal bar or the bar before the reversal bar on the second leg. The bigger the difference in volume the better the setup is.
B. The Chop Filter must be one color at the first double top/bottom, then change at least once to a different color (more color changes than one are okay) then change back to the color that was at the first double top/bottom. For example, if the Chop Filter was red at the first double top/bottom, then it has to change to cyan, orange or green or several of those colors, and then change back to red again when the second number prints. The same holds true if the Chop filter was green at the first number printed for comparison, it has to change to cyan, orange or red or any combination of them, and then change back to green again for the setup to be valid.
C. The difference of the price level from one double top or bottom to the next should go only a “little” farther. If the difference in price level is more than about 10 ticks or the brick size of the diagnostic bar in use, then the setup is not valid.
D. Entry is 3 ticks after the close of the reversal bar at the second double top/bottom.
NOTES:
a. The Oscillation Detector (OD) numbers turn gold when they enter a specific double top or bottom “zone.” The Power Play 1 will always have a gold number at some point, but it may pass through the zone and turn white. That is okay for this setup. The numbers do not have to be gold to take this setup.
b. Double tops and bottoms bouncing off levels give a higher probability for a bigger move but are not required for this setup.
c. If the price level is exactly the same on both double tops or bottoms, this is not a valid Power Play 1.

**POWER PLAY 2:** The price does not go as far on more volume.

A. The price does not go as far as the previous double top or bottom, but the volume in the last leg is at least 20% more. If the volume is not at least 20% more in the last leg (example if volume is only 10% more), there must be a cluster on the reversal bar or the bar just before the reversal bar on the last leg. The bigger the difference in volume, the better the setup is.
B. **SLINGS:**
Basic: A bar with a wick of at least 3 ticks. There must be least 2 previous bars in the same direction as the sling bar. If it is within 5 bars of a reversal, there must be 3 bars in the opposing direction to avoid chop. A reversal bar with a long wick is never a sling bar. A basic sling can be used as a secondary entry if a power entry is missed and the sling appears within 5 bars.

Power Sling: A basic sling bar that also has a cluster on it and the bar is going through some level of importance. They are best when the cluster falls directly on the level or past the level after level is broken. It can be a used for a secondary entry if the power entry is missed.

**ELEVATOR:** An elevator is a pullback in price much like the sling. The difference is that it goes a bit farther and a single bar is formed in the opposing direction from the trend. The very next bar closes back in the direction of the trend. It becomes a power elevator when a cluster is on either the bar opposing the trend or the next bar closing in the direction of the trend. Entry must always be after the close of the bar going back in the direction of the trend. All the same rules that apply to a sling apply to an elevator. (See basic sling.)

Third Bar Sling: A basic sling that occurs on the third bar in a trend. It should have a cluster and at least one acceleration bolt as well as either a paw print or a mini magnet to be the best possible setup. When the reversal bar (bar #1) is bouncing off a level, this increases probability of the trade profiting. If the wick of the third bar is reaching back to touch a previous mini magnet or a level of some kind, that increases the probability even more.

**BASE JUMPING SLINGS:** When the price breaks a mini magnet and lays down a cluster and another mm, this is considered a base jump setup.

**RED ROVER:** The price is breaking through a current swing level and lays a cluster exactly on or 1 tick past the current swing dots. This setup does not apply to a swing level that has stopped printing dots previously. It must be a current swing level. The bar with the cluster going through the swing level does not need to be a sling bar.

**REVERSE RED ROVER:** The cluster lands on the current swing dots and looks like a Red Rover, but the bar then closes in the opposite direction as the current leg of the trend. This is a valid entry to go the other direction. If it is a Reverse Red Rover, the cluster can land 1 tick away from the swing dots in the direction of the bar close.

**POWER REVERSAL:** A reversal trade bouncing off a level that has a cluster. To qualify for a reversal, there must be at least 3 bars in the opposing direction. The cluster can be on the reversal bar itself or the bar just before the reversal bar. It must have either an Early Detection Hidden Divergence indicator (sometimes referred to as an Eddie) on the bar of the reversal OR an Order Print star (momentum) on the bar before the reversal bar. (The star may not be on the reversal bar itself.) In addition, it must have at least one of the following on the reversal bar itself: Apex pattern P OR Order Print X OR a Mini Magnet OR a Paw Print.
Summary of Requirements for Power Reversal:
1. Reversal bar with at least 3 bars in the opposing direction.
2. A level within one bar of reversal bar.
3. Cluster on the reversal bar or the previous bar.
4. EDHD on the reversal bar itself OR star on the bar before the reversal bar. These must be on the designated bars.
5. One of the following: P or X or mini magnet or paw print on the reversal bar itself.

The setup with confirmations does not get stopped out very often, but it is does get stopped out, it is often gathering more volume, look for the next valid entry in the same direction of the failed setup to work out well.
